James Turrell exhibits his interactive art, light, colour, and space. These light installations fill the room and allows the viewer to be consumed in the atmosphere that the lights create. Similarly, Robert Irwin is known for his minimal, yet spacious, installations that explore the ideas of light and composition, clearly linked to architectural forms. I find these artworks play with the awareness of space and the compelling lights and shadows they produce are alluring. Snibbe was inspired by Irwin and Turrell’s minimal art and use of space that ‘meaningfully react to viewers presence, engagement and promote concentrated awareness’
